Description
PROCEL BETA-LEUCINE is an advanced recovery fuel custom-designed for Ketogenic Athletes and Elite Athletes. Many of the free form amino acids we consume are gluconeogenic, i.e. they convert to glucose in the body. Two such amino acids happen to be the BCAAs- Iso-Leucine and Valine. This is something, which ketogenic dieters want to avoid.
Each serving of PROCEL BETA-LEUCINE gives you over 7g of L-Leucine in a first-of-its-kind NON-GLUCONEOGENIC formula. Leaves out the Gluconeogenic BCAAs: Iso-Leucine and Valine. Also includes 3.0g of Beta-alanine in each serving to give you the lactic acid buffering edge + vital electrolytes and hydration compounds for a complete intra-training solution.
Our All-Vegan Amino-acid line is manufactured using a unique fermentation process, which produces a cleaner, clearer molecule as opposed to most products on the market. As always, all PROCEL amino acids are micronized and instantized for superior absorption.
Branch Chain Amino Acids (BCAAs) are essential nutrients that the body cannot make on its own, and are heavily depleted during periods of exercise and sport. One of the BCAAs- L-Leucine, plays a key role in muscle protein synthesis, the anabolic trigger which helps form new muscle tissue. Another key ingredient in ULTRA-BCAA is Beta-Alanine, which helps maintain the pH in muscle as well as increases its lactic acid threshold, thereby priming the intra-muscular environment for better performance through the delayed onset of fatigue.

FAQs
Q.1 What is Beta-Leucine?
BETA-LEUCINE is an advanced recovery fuel custom-designed for Ketogenic Athletes as well as Non-ketogenic Athletes. It provides over 13g of actives in every serving in a first-of-its-kind 100% Non-Gluconeogenic formula for a complete intra-training solution.
Q.2 Is BETA-LEUCINE a BCAA product?
Yes Beta-Leucine is a BCAA product. And more. BETA-LEUCINE has over 7g of fermented L-Leucine per serving which is the most important of the 3 BCAAs. L-Leucine is instrumental in igniting protein synthesis, which is the body’s chief anabolic trigger. Additionally, BETA-LEUCINE also contains 3.0g of Beta-alanine, Coconut Water powder, Key Electrolytes and Hydration Salts for a complete Intra-Training BCAA solution for Ketogenic as well as Non-Ketogenic Elite Athletes.
Q.3 Why are all the BCAA products presently available unsuitable for Ketogenic Athletes?
Ketogenic Athletes have their metabolism primed such that they use FAT for fuel, not Glucose like others. In fact, Ketogenic Athletes don’t want any Glucose floating around in their bloodstream. Unfortunately, BCAAs (except Leucine) are glucogenic, i.e. they have a high propensity to convert to Glucose in the body. And thus, most BCAA products are unsuitable for Ketogenic Athletes.
Q.4 What is Gluconeogenesis? What are Glucogenic amino acids?
Gluconeogenesis is a process of formation of glucose from non-carbohydrate substrates. Amino acids which get converted to glucose by the process of gluconeogenesis are called Glucogenic amino acids. For e.g. Iso-leucine and Valine, two of the 3 BCAA are glucogenic in nature.
Q.5 What kind of athletes can use BETA-LEUCINE?
Both, Fat adapted (Ketogenic) as well as Glucose-adapted (Elite) athletes can use BETA-LEUCINE to optimize workout repair and recovery. However, the additional advantage for Ketogenic Athletes is that they can accomplish their intra-training fueling goals without the associated risk of getting out of ketosis.
Q.6 What’s the difference between PROCEL UltraBCAA and PROCEL BETA-LEUCINE?
Both are identical except that BETA-LEUCINE is for Ketogenic Athletes while Ultra-BCAA is for regular Athletes.
Q.7 What is the role of Leucine in BETA-LEUCINE?
Leucine is an essential amino acid, which means our bodies cannot produce it on its own and we must get it from dietary sources. Leucine is also a branched-chain amino acid (BCAA). Leucine plays a key role in muscle protein synthesis, the conversion of food protein to muscle tissue. Leucine is a non-gluconeogenic amino acid, i.e. it does not convert to glucose in the body.
Q.8 What is the role of Beta-alanine in BETA-LEUCINE?
Beta-alanine increases carnosine levels in muscles; which helps the muscle reduce its acidity levels during exercise. This effectively delays muscle fatigue thus allowing you to workout longer and more efficiently.
Q.9 What is the tingling sensation I feel when I consume BETA-LEUCINE?
This tingling sensation is due to the presence of beta-alanine in BETA-LEUCINE. It occurs when you first start taking any supplement with beta-alanine in it. However it is temporary and goes away in a few days or weeks
Q.10 Can I take BETA-LEUCINE year round?
Yes, BETA-LEUCINE is 100% safe and made from natural fermented amino acids and other ingredients. It can be used year round and No cycling is required.
